Protesters put together signs and placards and sang songs for the march to the Lincoln Memorial in Washington. 80,000 people got together to help out to make sandwiches for the marchers. When everyone is gathered there, both A. Phillip Randolph and Martin Luther King speak out to the people about equality, which marks one of the most remembered times in history.

Important civil rights leaders made plans to march in Washington, D.C, to show for their freedom and jobs. People banned together to walk this march and about 80,000 people prepared food for the people participating in the mass march. Along with giving food, the marchers sang songs and made signs demonstrating freedom along with famous speeches by very influential civil rights leaders. They marched to the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, where Martin Luther King Jr. and Phillip Randolph gave speeches about equality. Where the famous speech “I have a dream” was spoke by Martin Luther King Jr.
